Runnells Care Center is a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), providing 24/7 medical care and assistance with daily activities for individuals who require a higher level of medical attention and support than can be provided at home or in assisted living facilities.
Individuals who need rehabilitation services, such as physical, occupational, or speech therapy, after surgery or illness, as well as those with chronic medical conditions requiring ongoing nursing care, typically qualify for care in a skilled nursing facility.
Services include 24/7 nursing care, rehabilitation therapy (physical, occupational, and speech), medication management, assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), meal preparation, and social activities.
Meals are planned and prepared by Runnells dietitians and nutritionists to meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents. Special diets and nutritional supplements are available as needed, and assistance with eating is provided for those who require it.
Yes! Residents are encouraged to bring personal items such as photos, decorations, and small pieces of furniture to make their living space feel more like home.
Medications are managed by licensed nurses who ensure that residents receive their medications as prescribed, monitor for side effects, and coordinate with healthcare providers for any necessary adjustments.
Skilled nursing facilities offer a variety of activities and social programs designed to engage residents physically, mentally, and socially. These may include exercise classes, arts and crafts, games, outings, and social events. Be sure to check out our "Activities and Events" page for more information and pictures about our wonderful staff!
Family members are encouraged to stay involved through regular visits, participation in care planning meetings, communication with the care team, and attending facility events and activities.
The cost of skilled nursing care varies based on the level of care needed and the location of the facility. Payment options include private pay, long-term care insurance, Medicaid, and, in some cases, Medicare for short-term rehabilitation services.
The admission process at Runnells typically involves a medical assessment, completion of required paperwork, and coordination with the facility’s admissions team to ensure a smooth transition for the new resident.
Care plans are developed based on a comprehensive assessment of the resident's medical history, current health status, and individual needs. The care team, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and social workers, collaborates to create a personalized plan that is regularly reviewed and updated.
Runnells' staff members are highly trained and qualified professionals, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants. Be sure to check out "Our Staff" page for more information and pictures about our wonderful staff!
